What is BIFMA?
BIFMA stands for Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturing Association. Safety certification is obtained by testing the back and seat durability and strength of the chair, frame durability, and seat drop strength.
What is ANSI?
The American National Standards Institute is an organization dedicated to designing standards of quality that are used to both further enhance the quality of American life and enhance the competitiveness between American businesses. There are over 1,200 ANSI-approved standards set in place that are designed to protect consumers, the workforce as a whole and the public.
